Mission
To contribute to the development of resilient communities through improved risk assessment methods, hazard mitigation, and integrated environmental planning.
Vision
To continue to serve as an innovative research, information and practice-based resource for communities, agencies and governments working in hazard, climate and environmental mitigation, resource management and adaptation.
History
For over 20 years this program has conducted projects to build resiliency in our partnering governments and communities. Our research and projects have been at the cutting edge in developing risk assessment methods and in engaging in partnerships that link scientific research with planning, policy, and decision-making.
